Want the latest thing in contact lenses?
Eye Society strives to bring you the newest lens technology as soon as it is available.  Visit our office for the latest developments in the contact lens industry.  See below for information on some of the newer lenses.

Silicone Hydrogel Contact Lenses - The material for standard soft contact lenses was introduced in the 1970’s.  This new type of material allows three to six times as much oxygen to enter the cornea, leading to a healthier lens with fewer complications.  Some of the brands made from this material are:

    • Acuvue Oasys
    • Biofinity
    • Focus Night and Day
    • O2 Optix
    • Pure Vision

Contact Lenses For Dry Eye - Have your dry eyes stopped you from wearing your contact lenses? New materials that allow in more oxygen and dry out less easily are allowing patients with dry eyes another try with contacts.  New lenses for dry eyes include:

    • Acuvue Oasys
    • Biofinity
    • Focus Dailies with AquaRelease
    • Focus Night and Day
    • O2 Optix
    • Proclear Compatibles

For more information on the new more "breathable" contact lenses try the following:

Bifocal Lenses - Irritated at having to use reading glasses in addition to your contacts?  Now you can have the convenience of disposable bifocal contact lenses.  Come into the Eye Society office for a contact fitting.  Some of the brands available are:

    • Acuvue Bifocal - Two Week Replacement Schedule
    • Biomedics EP-Monthly Replacement
    • Focus Dailies Progressive - Replace Daily
    • Focus Progressive - Two Week Replacement Schedule
    • Frequency 55 Multifocal - Monthly Replacement Schedule
